I certainly agree with that - an e-mail only service, possibly providing ONLY POP3 access (to make sure that mail doesn't stay on the server and to keep down bandwidth, more or less) - with a limitation of 1-2 megabytes per such account would not only be reasonable, but it would also go far towards NOT alienating existing users and customers. Additionally, if they have to charge, at least providing $10/year e-mail only accounts is also acceptable. > AOL and Apple can provide full-service to the .mac network. Agreed, that the Apple/AOL partnership can work well, along with possibly, down the road, providing an Apple branded AOL/.Mac client (similar to what they are doing with iChat) - basically, eWorld, reborn (which would be nice). AOL can seriously benefit from it, albeit it might leave Earthlink (their dialup partner) in a lurch.
