Nevertheless, I would maintain that Microsoft stands to earn more revenue
from Office, than from selling eMacs and vi :-)

While, I would also argue that Microsoft could generate a LOT more revenue
by supporting a version of Linux with a custom version of Office, but that's
another debate... In fact, Microsoft could probably significant reduce the
'risk' of Linux (I always love reading that), by supporting Office on
BSD/FreeBSD.

Guess what a business will then seriously look at?
