I think the problems people are experiencing are due to the fact that EvX is
looking for modification to the blank line above the signature as well as
modifications to the signature itself. For example, by default, signatures
contain the following elements:

--<space><return>
Some quote text

The body of a new message contains the following if a signature is selected
in the default account:

<return>
--<space><return>
Some quote text

When one creates a new message he generally addresses the message first
(Since he is automatically placed in the To: field), hits return (Which
places him in the Subject field), then types in a subject and hits return
again. This places them right in front of the first carriage return in the
message body as so (| = insertion point):

|<return>
--<space><return>
Some quote text

If, once the person is in this spot, he changes the signature, either
manually or by selecting a different account, and doesn't try to change the
signature afterward, they won't experience the doubling signatures. But if
they just start typing at this point, as I and the others having signature
problems are apt to do, then EvX considers the signature to have been
modified and inserts a signature wherever the insertion point happens to be
at the time. If the insertion point is at the end of the message (i.e. In
front of the infamous blank line), then they will get the second signature
right above the original. If the insertion point is in the middle of their
message then the new signature will be inserted in the middle of their
message.

The second bug some have mentioned shows up when one tries to undo the
addition of a signature in the middle of some text. Rather than actually
*undo* EvX replaces the signature that was just inserted with the signature
that was there before. This doesn't seem to be a *real* undo. I think the
complaint is that undo is expected to return the message to the previous
state (i.e. No signature in the middle of a paragraph).

I hope this is a detailed enough explanation of the problems.
