Being new to E2001, I was just trying to understand how it uses “To” and “CC” fields differently than Netscape. I used “original” to indicate that this was not a resent or forwarded email. The particular email in question does in fact have semi-colons and not commas. I thought it perhaps unusual so mentioned the format in case it was relevant to why the script didn’t behave as expected. Each contact is listed individually in the “To” field in exactly the following format: First Last names <mailto:####@domain.com> ; First Last names <mailto:####@domain.com> ; etc. I don’t know which program generated the email, but that’s what it looks like in my E2001 (iMac, OS9.2.2).
Entourage may not see that string of semi-colon-delimited text as separate recipients - it's hard to say. It is some sort of internet protocol, and perhaps is the way it works with explicit mailto links, so it probably will be OK, but Entourage may just pick out the addresses and not recognize the display names. I've never come upon this, as far as I know. If it's not confidential, I'd appreciate if you'd Redirect (not forward) it to me, and I'll take a look at it. The script may possibly need adjusting to accommodate those. I can't find any messages like that in my own folders to try it out.
