I am in the process of slowly updating and organizing my scripts site. You can access it at: <http:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/Scripts/>
It's not fully organized; there are some duplications, which I am working to eliminate, and there are scripts there that are not mine--written by others--because I just uploaded entire folders from my own scripts menu. I'm working to clean that up; meanwhile, I apologize to other scripters if anyone mistakes your script for one of mine. I have uploaded a PDF file that tries to describe some of the scripts on my site and how they are organized, as well as how to download them. I ended up writing the description of subfolders to describe the way I intend to organize it, and not the way it actually is, so consider it a bit of a preview. Most of what it describes is already there; if not, and you can't find something you see described, ask me off list. The PDF file can be retrieved at: <http:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/Scripts/!Click%2 0me%20for%20help.pdf> REMOVE ADS script: I have updated my "Remove YahooGroup Ads" script and renamed it "Remove Ads". Further changes: Added properties startMarkers and endMarkers to ease the addition of other types of ads. Added "Dictionary.com" type of ad markers. Removed obsolete eGroups markers. This script now handles removal of ads from TEXT ONLY messages from YahooGroups, Dictionary.com, and any source with ads enclosed between two lines of "=-=-". Also, if the ad is from YahooGroups and contains HTML, the HTML code is stripped, and the message is converted to plain text, thus effecting the removal of the HTML ads and images. It also loses any HTML formatting, so if you wish to see HTML sent to you by list members, you must disable this option: Edit the property "stripHTML" to "false". To add new ad types, simply edit the two markers properties, adding in sets of {prefix, midline, suffix} indicators for the starting and ending line of the ad, and, in the line that checks the "Reply to" header, add the domain that sends out the messages you want to strip.
