I think this issue was covered earlier in this mailing list, but I have not kept a record of the suggestions. I wanted to archive some of the IMAP folders and simply creating MBOX files is OK with me. The trouble is that this technique works well when one drags an IMAP folder that does not include other folders. In my case, I have multiple levels of folder nesting and when the top level folder is dragged, it generates an MBOX file, but it is empty. I've tried to use Paul's Export Folders X script, but that either exports the entire set of IMAP folders or you need to create a custom view first. I'd rather not have to create customs views every time, since I have folders on various projects and I would like to archive them as I am finished. It would have been very nice if I could choose the folders that I wished to archive, but that is not how the script works.
So, I am now looking for the best way to archive IMAP folders in the manner I described above. Generating MBOX files is perfectly fine with me, by the way. Thanks for any help. -- M.
