I am using OS X 10.2.3 and a Sony Clie. I have about 1,000 names in my
database. If I synch the database the result is a list with dozens of
entries not in alpha order (most are but maybe 75 are not). I can 'fix'
this by simply editing an entry and reentering the first letter of the last
name or company...this puts the record back in place but it's a nuisance. I
don't know if this is a Clie problem or not but I assume Palm hardware users
have not experienced this problem.

Someone on the list suggested a few things, including synching only a
category's worth of contacts. I tried this HOWEVER, this results in
replacing the full database on the Clie with ONLY the one category. I would
have thought that is NOT the intended purpose of Category ONLY!

I've checked this several times. I assume this is not the way it's supposed
to happen. (I get the same result if I do an EntourageX over writes Palm.
I assumed this would replace the entire dateabase with ONLY the category but
I wanted to check).

As of now, I can't use the EntX synch for the database. It works fine with
the calendar, notes and tasks.

I'd call this a bug in the software which might indeed by Clie related. I
also have the Missing Synch but it doesn't really related to synch'ing the
Addresses (as far as I can tell).

Thanks for any advise!
