I don't sync with anything else than my Mac.  Anyone else have any ideas?

 I found the same thing with a smaller number of entries. Do you sync
somewhere other than your Mac? I sync with both Mac and PC (an obscure
way to get my appointments from Outlook to Entourage). This seems to
force a slow sync on both platforms.
