True. But within Entourage, if you display the year by dragging the small calendar section wide enough, you can double click on days to go to that day, or to that date in whatever view you have (day, work week, week, month). You can click on the month name to switch to month view. In other words, you can use the calendar to interact with Entourage, to a limited degree.

If you just want a quick view of the year, open up the terminal and type 'cal 2003'. The years calendar will be (almost instantly) displayed.
