I'm using Entourage with Office X (with service updates). When I see clients, I close my laptop to put it to sleep so as to not have distractions. However, Office Notifications continue to ring even while computer is asleep.  This is distracting.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

That’s no good. I guess you’re either going to have to log out (Apple menu, requires quitting all open apps), or shut down the computer, rather than sleep it; or else turn off Reminder sound in General Preferences/Notification. If the latter, you won’t hear Reminders even when not sleeping, of course, but you’ll still see them in the front. Logging out is probably the best idea, although it takes a few moments.

One other way would be to go to Entourage menu/Turn Off Office Notifications, then quit Entourage, before putting the laptop to sleep. The next time you open Entourage you’ll be prompted to turn them On again, which is good, but you won’t receive any notifs until you do open Entourage.

PLEASE always state which version of Entourage you are using - 2001 or X. It's often impossible to answer your questions otherwise.
