Paul and Allen Double duh.
I managed to figure it out on my own and that is exactly what I was doing incorrectly, (using '/' instead of ':') ...thanks for the quick and accurate help! I'm trying my hand at creating a graphical interface around an AppleScript. The choices for an environment that I know of are Smile and AppleScript studio. Are there others that are easier to get up and running? Any recommendations? I find the Ascript studio pretty daunting. The examples are not 'easy' to understand. I want to select one of several choices (using a radio button), the click and button and take the appropriate action determined by the button selected.
