It's better now. The problem with the 2001 version was that if you tried to
enter a phone number is some other format - say, UK or France or Sweden - it
would format that too in your default style.

The way it works now is: you set the default format you want in General
Preferences/Address Book. there are a ton to choose from. Then whenever you
enter _just the numbers_, no spaces, hyphens, etc.. Like so:

    1234567890

Entourage will format it to your chosen default:

     (123) 456-7890

or whatever your default is. But if you want to enter a British phone number
for a British contact:

    +44 207 628 1234

It won't get changed into

    (442) 076-281234

as it did in Entourage 2001. It stays how you set it, which is far
preferable. So don't type US numbers with any hyphens or spaces and you'll
be OK.
