One workaround, in combination with the idea of a script that files sent
message to a particular recipient in a particular folder: set up multiple
"contact" names for your editor. Use a different "name" for each contact, or
perhaps nicknames, but all with the same e-mail address: "John Smith (web
site)" and "John Smith (upcoming issue)" and so on. Then, when addressing
the message and you type "smith" you will be presented with a popup list of
names, from which you can choose the one you want.

Your scripts that process outgoing messages can easily check the recipients
for "web site" or "upcoming issue" and file the messages accordingly.

I agree, though; to be able to script the "after sending file in" folder is
highly desirable.
