Hi John, Bad idea. There's too much software that won't run efficiently (or at all) on 8.1.
Instead (and assuming you can't install OS X), go with 9.1 or 9.2.2. And did you look for my reply on the Word newsgroup? I would guess not since you're still changing the names of your threads.
