Yes, the amount of time it takes to delete a message - from the time I press
the delete key to when the message line is gone - is noticeably faster. One
thing I have noticed though is that if I defragment my files partition, then
get a bunch of mail, performance in Entourage is slower. This is because the
database is somewhere in the middle of the files on disk, and new files are
written in a different location, fragmenting the database. In that case, I
just copy or rebuild it to get it contiguous again.
