I just helped someone setup a new iMac this weekend and part of the process involved the installation of Microsoft Office v.X. When I went to perform the drag-install of Office from the CD, I was prompted to replace the existing Microsoft Office folder. Puzzled, I canceled the install and took a look to find out that the Office Test Drive was installed. I thought I could just go ahead and replace it with the full Office folder and did. The person is having some intermittent problems with Entourage now, however.
I found on the Mactopia site the following bulletin: <http://microsoft.com/mac/SUPPORT/OTD_support.asp> That encourages the use of the "Remove Test Drive" app before installing Office. Now I'm concerned that there may be something left over from the Test Drive causing his issues. What does the "Remove Test Drive" app actually remove other than the Microsoft Office folder in Applications? I can remove whatever it is myself if there is a list of files to be removed. Alternatevly, will simply running the Office remove tool accomplish the same task after which we can re-install Office cleanly? -Remo Del Bello -- "Oh, sure, you can use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true!" - Homer Simpson -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
