First I think you should use the Remove Office app (in the Value Pack) to
completely remove Office v. X. It won't touch your data. Then reinstall from
the CD, reapply Office 10.1.2 Updater (and 10.1.4 optionally). Then try
again. This is not a corrupted database, so rebuilding doesn't help. It's
corrupted preferences or other files, so reinstall.
