Spell check in mail, v.X

Title: Spell check in mail, v.X

How can I make exception additions to spell check in the mail module of Entourage v.X? It constantly flags items (such as my name, even though it is in the address book), and specialized words I have placed in the MS custom dictionary.
The dialogue box “add” button is greyed out (inactive) whenever a word is flagged.
