You're using v10.1.1 of Entourage (as I can see from the source of your
messages). That means you applied the Office 10.1.2 updater, but not the
later 10.1.3 or 10.1.4 which supply fixed "proofing tools" for French and
Italian.

First go to the Value Pack on the Office X CD and install French proofing
tools. Then apply the Office 10.1.3 updater from MacTopia (or 10.1.4 which
also has some other fixes plus Exchange).
