Outgoing mail rules don't work

Title: Outgoing mail rules don't work

Hello folks. I’m a new member to this list. I’m moving from Mac Mail to Entourage. I have been having trouble getting rules to file my Sent message to the folders I want them to go to. Even though I have them being applied first.

First, all of the Sent messages still dump into the main Sent box. If I unclick the Preference for that to happen, the Sent messages don’t go anywhere.

Here’s a sample rule:


"Any To recipient" _ contains _ domain.com
Move to Client's Out Folder


Second, there doesn’ t seem to be a way to apply rules to Sent messages after the fact. You can do it with received messages but not sent...

I’ve set up similar rules in Mail and Eudora, always with easy success. What am I missing here? I set rules to direct both incoming and outgoing messages to client folders, to a proposal/estimate folder and such. I constantly refer back to these emails and really need to keep them organized.

Any clues or further information I can provide that will help answer the question – why don’t my outgoing message rules work?
