I can create new accounts for both, but I have the following problems:
* the "email address" property of the "Exchange account" object returns an error at "Check syntax" time
* there's no property that I could find to set the "domain to add to unqualified addresses" field's contents
* no reference I could construct would let me set the default signature of the Exchange account I had set up to one named "Basic"
* even though I create a new LDAP directory within the Exchange account, it does not put any of the settings within the fields in the Exchange account's Directory tab (in Tools > Accounts). It does put them in the Directory Services tab in the Accounts window. I assume I have to use the properties of the Exchange account itself, rather than creating a separate LDAP directory entry ...
* the "LDAP server" property (which refers to the host name of the LDAP server) of the "LDAP server" object returns an error at "Check syntax" time
* when I enable the "requires SSL" and "specify port" settings for the LDAP server, Entourage does not automatically turn on the "override port" option
All of these problems add up to mean that I can mostly set up the accounts I need, but I have to finish and fine tune the settings by hand. It's better than nothing, but not what I was looking for.
I'm using Entourage 10.1.4 and 10.1.5 on Mac OS X 10.2.6 and 10.2.8.
Has anyone else had these problems? Any solutions? Would looking at my code help?
