I know you've given up on fixing this error, but... I've experienced similar problems. I've narrowed the culprit of the connection errors down to my Deleted Items folder. I can only explain it as sometimes deleting a message (and therefore moving it to my Deleted Items folder doesn't seem to update Entourage's knowledge of the contents of said folder. When a scheduled mail check occurs I will receive a connection error. I will continue to receive an error on every scheduled check until I click on the Deleted Items folder, thereby causing Entourage to download message headers. After that, scheduled checks occur without an error. I'll try to reproduce it and get a tcpflow session... -Remo Del Bello -- "What is this talk of 'release'?
