Last night I searched out and found Diane's documentation on how to change the serial numbers on Office, curing a long-standing conflict (I had hoped) between my wife and myself arising from inadvertent installation of the same copy of Office on our the two TiBooks we have along with a G4 Tower. We had two licensed copies all along, and the G4 had one, the TiBooks the other. We should have had the Tower's copy on either of the TiBooks to comport with licensing requirements, at least as we understand them.
The revision went well, and now the TiBook's Office versions now show they have different serial numbers appearing in the respective "abouts" in MS Office. But, when both TiBooks were active on the same airport network, the MS detective declared a foul and shut us out, once again. Is there a residue that also needs to be updated or dealt with in some fashion?
