I've been using Entourage vX (SR1, vers. 10.1.4) with OS X (10.2.8 Build
6R73) successfully for some time. I have one IMAP mailbox, and, aside from
some "glitches" it does well.

I just added several POP3 accounts, and I don't understand one thing I'm
seeing.

For each POP3 account, I have checked the "Allow Online Action" option in
order to keep the message in separate folders until I decide to move them.
Entourage Help states:

> POP mail accounts
> By default, messages are received in the Inbox that
> appears in the Folders list directly under On My Computer. If the messages do
> not appear there, you might have set up your POP account for online access. If
> so, the messages remain on the server, just as messages from IMAP, Exchange,
> and Hotmail accounts do. If you prefer to have POP messages appear in the
> Inbox under On My Computer, click Accounts on the Tools menu, and then
> double-click the name of the POP account. On the Options tab, clear the Allow
> online access (shows account in folder list) check box.

The problem is, the messages I receive in these POP3 accounts *also* get
copied to "Inbox" directly under "On My Computer". This is annoying. I don't
want to copy all the spam, and I may not want to copy messages to *that*
folder.

Since I have checked "Allow Online Action", shouldn't Entourage avoid *also*
placing messages in the Inbox? Or do I just need to learn more about POP
mail and it's quirks?

Thanks!
