Title: Re: Entourage 2001 slowdown
Updating the application would have restored your memory allocation settings for Entourage to the default.  You should increase the memory allocation to 20000K at least.  Select the Microsoft Entourage program icon in the Finder, and then go to File -> Get Info -> Memory.  Change the Preferred size to at least 20000K.

Hi,

I’m using  Entourage 2001 version 9.0.4 (4011) on OS Z1 – 9.2.2. Some weeks ago I applied the Office 2001 consolidated updater. Since then Entourage has got very sluggish after a few hours use, although quitting and reloading seems to restore performance for a short while.

Also I suspect that since applying the consolidated updater I now have memory leakage from Entourage. Certainly loading and quitting the programme seems to progressively reduce available memory as reported by the ‘About My Macintosh’ window. Doesn’t seem to be a problem with any of the other programs that I regularly use – Word, AppleWorks 6, ClarisWorks 4, Photoshop Elements 2, Print Explosion Deluxe, IE 5.1.7, StickyBrain 2.0.2.

Does any other  2001 user  have similar symptoms, or has had them but found a cure?

Tony
