Actually the date of your message is also 1/1/70, as you can see, This has
nothing to do with Entourage - it's your computer. Your calendar opened to
that day because it's "Today" as far as your computer is concerned.

First check Date & Time prefs in System Preferences and reset them to the
real date and time. See if that "sticks".

Jan 1, 1970 is the first day of the Unix "era" (like Jan 1, 1904 was of the
old Mac OS, and Jan. 1, 1900 is of Windows). You computer got set to "day 1"
for some reason. Did you have an electricity shutdown perhaps? It may turn
out that your battery is dead - you may have to replace it if you can't
simply reset the date in System prefs or if it reverts.
