Hi there! I've been trying to find an answer to this problem on the MVP site, through Google, but it seems I am the only one with it.
So, I'm trying this list to see if somebody can offer help. I have the latest version of Entourage X. I have a Hotmail account that I regularly check with Entourage. When I'm connected through regular Ethernet, I don't have any problem managing my Hotmail account, e.g. send and receive emails, deleting and moving messages, etc. However, I recently started using AirPort a little bit more and realized that I can't send/receive/delete messages from my Hotmail account. Whenever Entourage tries to do anything for my Hotmail account, I get a -3280 connection failure message. I checked the FAQ, did search the entire MVP site, but couldn't find anything related to my problem. My AirPort Base Station is the old Graphite one. It is configured only as a bridge between my switch connected to my DSL modem. It doesn't distribute any IP address or anything like that. It is wired to my Linksys cable/dsl router, which is connected to my DSL modem. Each device on my Ethernet network has a static IP address, including my ABS, no DHCP server. My PowerBook has the same static IP address whether I connect through regular Ethernet or through AirPort, hence the ABS acting only as a bridge. Anybody has any idea? Thanks in advance! -Laurent. -- ============================================================================ Laurent Daudelin AIM/iChat: LaurentDaudelin <http://nemesys.dyndns.org> Logiciels Nemesys Software mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Brooks's Law prov.: "Adding manpower to a late software project makes it later" -- a result of the fact that the expected advantage from splitting development work among N programmers is O(N) (that is, proportional to N), but the complexity and communications cost associated with coordinating and then merging their work is O(N^2) (that is, proportional to the square of N).
