At that point, turn OFF preview pane, so you won't crash when selecting the bad message (unless you want to try once in order to be sure which message is doing the crashing). And Turn off Send & Receive All schedule so you won't be interrupted. You can probably figure out which message is the problem one without testing another crash: it will be the oldest (in Received column) message not downloaded yet - the oldest message with the partial "jagged" envelope icon in Status column. If you don't normally leave messages on the server, that will be the oldest message, period, in Received column. If you DO leave messages on the server, it will be the oldest one with the jagged icon. With Preview Pane OFF (View menu) select the offending message and click Trash button or press Delete. (If you think, from the From header, that it might be a message you need rather than spam, first drag it to your desktop to make an .eml file. DO NOT double-click the .eml, but drag it onto TextEdit or another text editor to read the text without crashing anything. Trash or Delete the original in the Server window in Entourage.) That will mark it for deletion from the server at the next connection. Now do a Send & Receive All. Everything else should download OK, and that message will be removed from the server.
