Two thoughts on this...you have a schedule in Entourage to run at startup to download. You would need to trash a preference to get around this. If you can set to work offline, you can check for a bad message using online server. Go to Tools/Accounts/that account/Edit/Options. Check "Allow online access". That puts an icon of your account in the Folder List. Click on the account icon. You're now looking at the messages on the server. There is a bad spam message out there to that is causing problems. A malformed spam message was sent to many people causing the Junk Mail Filter to fail. The cause of this is a missing bracket within the header information. The JMF cannot parse the information and fails. Microsoft is aware of this situation. Turning off the JMF after you have a crash situation, Re-downloading the mail, deleting the bad message, and then re-enabling the filter is the easiest workaround. I hope I'm not repeating myself...it's late and I'm tired. <sigh> -- Diane Ross Mac MVP Entourage Help Page <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/> -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
