First of all, do you have a source for this? No offense, but I'm not hanging
my hat on "evidently." I read a lot of the Palm sites and I can't find this
mentioned anywhere except Mac rumor sites only quoting people who spoke to
someone who knows someone who cleaned the floors at PalmSource or other such
connection.

Palm's official press release on OS 6 certainly doesn't mention it:

I'm not saying it's not true. It very well may be but I'll wait and see
before getting nervous. I can't imagine that Palm will ship devices without
some sort of free syncing in the box, even if it's not Palm Desktop. And it
may be two different things. They may still have Palm Desktop but outsource
the HotSync Manager part.

The only problem I've had with Entourage syncing is the fact that I sync
with both my PC and Mac and since the software is different on both ends I
sometimes have trouble with duplicates and being unable to get rid of
deleted items easily. Other than that, it's been working fine.

I really don't like Entourage's current calendar/contacts window and I
prefer to use my PC for editing in Agendus. I'm looking forward to the
improvements in Office 2004.
