I don't know if anyone else replied, but one thought occurs to me: With calendar events, one can send an invitation to another person. That invitation (optionally) can be automatically entered in the recipient's calendar. So, your helper could simply "invite" you by e-mail to the event, and when you receive the message it would go into your calendar.
