Sure; it should be fairly obvious if you edit the script in Script Editor.
You could debug if there are problems by opening the Result window, and then
putting a line, "return <some-variable>" statement into the script and then
running the script by clicking on the "Run" button in Script Editor. The
"return" will cause the script to stop at that point, and will display
"some-variable" in the result window. Just put it at one point, test, then
move it to a different place (with a different variable). Or, put in
"display dialog" statements at strategic places to see what value things
have.
