But it was added too late to make it into the menus - you somehow had to know the "secret" keyboard shortcut cmd-opt-L (which, just to be confusing, is also the keyboard shortcut for "Check Spelling" but they don't conflict because they act on different windows/focus). It wasn't in any menu nor the Help - much too late for that. It has been improved in 2004, and is now in the contextual menu (where you must have found it), and also in the Keyboard Shortcuts where there's no mention of "Repair"(in fact you can't find it in the Help using "repair message list" as keywords).
