I fear that they were probably oriented towards aiming people at the default
3-column view which does not have separate columns for these icons, and
contain far fewer of them (online status, attachments, and replied-to,
forwarded, etc.) in the one column. It was a mistake to remove the other
information, if it has been removed. So far, I can't find it either.
