Hi Diane I was bit surprised to read this email as thought this topic had long died!!
I still get the problem but like so many other issues you kind of learn to live with it and the trick really is never add the attachment until right at the very end of typing! I am only doing a 'save' and not a 'save as' - years of working with computers have given me a nervous twitch of 'apple S' as you go along with any job!! My attachments can vary quite a bit, but would normally be things like PDFs, Jpegs, Freehand files and varying in size from a few K up to 10mb + - cant say I have noticed a great difference in size of attachments, but would normally only fail on larger attachments, and normally I 'drag and drop' the rather than using the 'add' button. But had one yesterday that didn�t go, but I normally 'copy' my words I have typed and go back to 'reply' and paste in words and go find the attachment, I would finally add they are normally always a 'reply' to an email. Hope the above might help you track down the problem a bit!!
