Once upon a time I created a custom view in Entourage v.X to combine my various Inboxes. Unfortunately, the Location of a custom view containing messages can only be set to "All Folders" or "This Folder", so I had to use the following for the custom view:
Item Types: Messages Location: All Folders Criteria: (Match if any criteria are met) Folder Is Inbox Folder is INBOX (IMAP Account 1) Folder is INBOX (IMAP Account 2) ... Etc This however, turned out to be awfully slow (over 30 seconds for a 300MB database). Of course the cause of the slowness is the Location being set to All Folders. It's admirable that Entourage was able to search through my all 300MB worth of database and track down all the messages by the folder they were stored in. Unfortunately, it is just too slow to actually use. I suggested at the time, that a third option, "These Folders" be added to the Custom View window, allowing the selection of multiple, specific folders to search. One of the members of the development team replying (privately, I believe and, I apologize, I don't remember who it was) that he experienced the same frustration as he was doing the same thing and that the suggestion would be considered for a future release. And *finally* my question... Has this (or another way to aggregate multiple Inboxes) been added to Entourage 2004? -Remo Del Bello -- "Even if a man chops off your hand with a sword, you still have two nice sharp bones to stick in his eyes." - Kendo proverb -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
