I agree -- it has also happened to me a couple of times, one of which was a
major business presentation that took about two hours to compose, and then
was gone in an instant after forgetfully pressing Command-Delete. Since
changing the command is, apparently, difficult and/or costly (per previous
comments from the Mac Team here), how about just moving the message to the
trash in such instances, thereby providing the user a chance to recover it
if the deletion was accidental? That would be a fairly easy solution to the
problem, wouldn't it??
