If I had a task that was set up to repeat in 10 days, and I let the task go overdue - in other words, it was due on the 1st but I didn't complete it until the 3rd, then the next task would come due on the 11th, rather than on the 13th, 10 days after I completed the last one. My understanding from the archives of this list, and other sources, is that this is how Entourage X was designed to work. I was hoping that the new version allowed the user to (optionally) start counting from the time the task was completed.
