And always will be. Since the dawn of the VCR with its indefinitely blinking clock, there have always been those who could not cope with technology. My father tells me the story that when he was a little boy, he was called to a neighbors home to help with a furnace that would not warm the house. Apparently, it was one of those hi-tech electric-started furnaces that in order to work required that the switch be in the "on" position. If he had only thought to term his neighborly advice "tech support," he might have made an early fortune. The more obscure an operating system is, the more tech support it requires. Perhaps Windows has devolved to its current situation because it must remain opaque to the average user in order to keep legions of tech support personnel employed. -- Bruce ____________________________________________________ B R U C E K. klutch-at-erols.com -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
