One way I dealt with the extra fonts that were installed with Office 2004
was simply to delete them. They seem to all reside in a folder inside of
Applications/Microsoft Office 2004. I just tossed the whole folder, and all
seems well.

While not directly related to Office, I also got a tip from MacFixit that
suggested to remove all fonts from the /System/Library/Fonts/ and either
move them to ones User/Library/Fonts folder, or delete the ones you don't
want. This helps in determining a font problem, but allowing you to create a
new User account and test that account.

I wouldn't touch the System Folder fonts. Had a friend try to remove the
Helvetica font from there and all hell broke loose.
