In Entourage v.X and 2004, when inviting someone to an event, one cannot
suppress the default signature for the sending account. If I elect to not
have a signature before sending the invitation, the note area of the event
will clear, but upon re-opening the event, the signature will be there.

I've worked around it by creating a send-only account without a signature,
but then the invitations don't get filed in the IMAP account's Sent Items
folder...
