Diane, First of all, my sincere thanks for the suggestions. I exported the calendar events, created a new identity and imported them. They imported OK, although they lost their categories (since my new generic identity doesn't have categories set up the way my main identity did, I guess). But it also doesn't look like there are any signatures appended in the new identity. I say it doesn't "look like" it because as I mentioned earlier in this thread, I tried an experiment where I deleted the signature that was showing up and recreated it. This made the signature disappear from the calendar events, but in place of the signature was a blank line. I can tell the difference now because if I click near the bottom of the notes section in a calendar event, the insertion point goes to the second line of the notes section. In my new identity, it goes to the first line. So, the "bottom line" is that when I import the events into the new identity, the notes section is completely clean. (Would it matter that I haven't created any signatures in the new identity?)
