Title: Mail Storage exceeding limit

Received notification from my ISP on this and am guilty as charged.  Am using Entourage X and unfortunately have not allocated the time nor do I even know where to go to understand the best way to sort mail.  I have an obscene amount of incoming mail; some of it low priority and unread as well as some waiting to be filed.  I need to know first  if deleting "sent mail" as well as mail in the "deleted" section helps solve the overstuffed mail storage.  Any direction on where to read up on sorting and storing mail expediently will be most appreciated.
