Sorry, I still don't get it. Going to that page _in Safari_ or in another
browser has nothing to do with how _Entourage_ would display it.

I followed the link above, got to the page _in Safari_ and found it wasn't
actually a link but just formatted text, blue with an underline. I still
don't understand what that has to do with Entourage.

Could you please explain what you're trying to do, and include a real
example.

To include a long URL that will be clickable _in Entourage_ or - I think -
any other Mac email client, put < angles > around it. Whether that's
immediately clickable or not depends on the the email client _of the
recipient_. In Entourage, as we all are here, it will be immediately
clickable, whether in plain text or HTML. In Outlook Express Windows,
versions earlier than the most recent patch, it will break and not be
clickable in plain text.

If you want very long URLs to be clickable, no-breaking, in _all email
clients_, yes, a tinyURL would be a good idea. Or send your message in HTML:
Entourage 2004 (and 10.1.4 but not earlier) encodes that in a way that
should be OK. Maybe there are some exceptions. Or use my "Make Hyperlinks X"
script with a display text for the long URL. All those should work.

But please just send the URL in the text of an email, not in a web page on a
browser.

PLEASE always state which version of Microsoft Office you are using -
**2004**, X or 2001. It's often impossible to answer your questions
otherwise.
