The database utility is not 100%. I find that if you cannot export, then
there is some problem in your database. I highly recommend using Export to
backup your data on a regular basis. The files are small and it's easy to
do. Just set a Task to remind you. Then between the Database Utility and
Exporting you will find database corruption quickly.

You have a couple of choices. (1) start a brand new database from scratch,
(2) use Paul Berkowitz's script Export-Import to move your data over.

Paul, do you know if your scripts will export corrupt messages?

Thirdly, you could try moving each folder to the desktop as an MBOX file and
see if you can find your problem. There is a script called Export Folders by
Barry Wainwright that also moves over the subfolders. I can't remember if
you can tell which folder fails with this, but the script will fail just
like Export does when there is corruption. You can find the link on the
