If you're a student or educator, then that is a good alternative. If you're
not, then you have to ask yourself how honest you are. :-)

Unless you need Virtual PC, you don't need the professional version. That's
the one distinguishing difference between the standard and regular version.

For me, 2004 was a very good upgrade. I love the project center in
Entourage. It helps me stay much better organized at work - and keeps track
of all emails and contacts related to a specific project. The notebook
feature of Word is a great way to take notes and build outlines. Those are
my two favorite features.

If you have to access an Exchange server, 2004 is a much better choice. It
does a much better job of keeping events synchronized. I have yet had to
resync anything, which is something I had to do almost ever day in v. X.
