Actually, Novell has open sourced the connector from what I've been reading this past summer. We just need some ambitious programmer to port it to a native program so we don't have to run X Windows. I was told by a Novell employee one time that they were working on portion Evolution and the connector to native OS X. But I'm sure Novell has numerous reasons for not doing it.
