Considering the gross lack of proper documentation for Applescript with
up-to-date books, Matt Neuberg's book notwithstanding (it would be hopeless
for newbies to actually learn it from that book), I would say this is simply
a fact that there is no bottom line way to learn Applescript properly like
the multitudinous books out there on JavaScript, Visual Basic, C, C++ and
even Cocoa.

Why is it after all these years Apple still neglects this powerful tool?
Even Sal Soghoian's book has been delayed more than a year. It's no wonder
so many applications have poor support for Applescript to this day. And I
don't think Tiger's Automator will make Applescript irrelevant.

Could someone please write a book on Applescript for Office? Photoshop?
InDesign? (Even Quark, if anyone still uses that.) :-) I can't believe they
couldn't make good money doing that. "Applescript The Missing Manual" (Or
how about "The Missing Library?")?
