You are. It sounds as if the database is corrupt. Hold down the Option key
at startup and choose Rebuild (Entourage 2004) or "Advanced (Entourage X or
2001). When it completes the rebuild, it will probably open the identity OK.
The Entourage X seems to have lost track entirely of where the data files are.
When telling it to rebuild the data, it doesn't create new rebuild files or modify the existing ones.
There were two profiles on the system in question, and I am trying to get it to switch profiles.
Honestly, I suspect drive failure, but wanted to try this too as I wait for the replacement drive to arrive.
