Identities won't open

Title: Identities won't open

I have several saved identities from last year and before. When I dragged them into Entourage 2004 I get an “end of file reached” message even though they are many MG, and the database gets rebuilt far too quickly for it to be happening ( which doesn’t happen because I can’t open ANY of them!)
I looked at Mactopia and read where it said to trash the preferences. However, that was an option with only 2 of them, and it didn’t make a difference.
Is there any way I can access this information, I don’t mind what format...
Running X 3.6 on a G4 PB laptop with 1 G RAM.
